What's great about Catherine is that she is always open to changing her mind, and can be surprisingly quick to do it. A few examples of significant life decisions she has changed literally overnight:
1. Changed degrees from Interior Design to Sign Language Interpreting. (Fall - 2000)
2. Done at 2 kids to wanting 3 or more. (Spring - 2007)
3. And perhaps most momentous, pictured here, she went from 100% anti to 113% pro BBQ overnight. (Summer - 2007)

Comfortable in his skin
The Brothers & Grim

These two are natural best friends and bitter rivals. The shot you see here is mostly friend, but you'll notice the temptation in Bair's eyes. He has mischief eyes. He is dangerously sharp and is constantly looking for a laugh and a way to push the envelope. Here he's just thinking about pushing Cal. This time he held back, but you are never 100% safe around Bair.
SMILE
Now, I dare someone to try and tell me that is not a smile. Cal is quickly becoming synonymous with smile in our home, as that is pretty much all he does save eating. He invariably flashes a smile (much like you see here) to anything within 30 feet or so with eyes pointing in his general direction. Many and admirer mistook this for their natural aptitude for connecting with small children. But when you have the chance to meet Cal, just remember: don't flatter yourself, because he just is a smile - always.Somewhere I remember learning that a child's tendency to smile is hereditary. Not sure if it is true, but since I get all my information now from either the "radio" or the "internet," it has to be so. The "radio" and the "internet" never lie. Neither do genetics, and there never was nor is there today a bigger Ham than Catherine. So this smile goes out to her. Appropriate, I think, since it was Catherine behind the camera.
